ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, is a procedure needed when infection invades the pulp chamber of your tooth. This usually occurs when the tooth has been damaged by trauma, or more commonly tooth decay.
Our experienced dentists save the tooth by removing the infected pulp located in the centre of the tooth. The canals are then cleaned and refilled with a filling material which then seals the pulp chamber to prevent bacteria from re-entering the canal.
We strongly advise you to contact our friendly staff if you experience any of the following symptoms:
Tooth pain when biting or chewing
Sensitivity to hot or cold beverages and food
Swelling in the gums
Loosening of your tooth
Secreting puss or abscess around suspected tooth
With today's advanced dental technology, root canal therapy is virtually pain-free, with very little discomfort and a lot of benefits. If treated early enough, you can save your tooth and reverse any existing damage, leaving you with a fully functional tooth again.
